Vintage is key! and Zara, hollie is queen of finding highstreet pieces that dont look highstreet! little booties for the day and retro heels for the night! 

BOLD

Currently bold colours are making their way into our fashionable lives. Bright pinks, reds, purples, and the best bit you ask? Pink with orange! this is a trend that i LOVE and with summer hot on winters tail a fab tan will look marvellous with it!!!

I went on a trend shopping trip today and found some little beauts I will so kindly share with you!

The only rule that I would suggest following would be to make sure the fabric is good quality so you don't get snags or constant creasing. 

This is normally obvious when looking at the garment in stores, check as many of the same piece before you buy it and that should give you a good idea.

Other than that anything goes with colour blocking!!

ohh errr

So, I'm hoping that you read news papers and know about the shiz going down with ol' Galliano right now! 

Now first things first, what he done was down right out of line and a total head fcuk (im not about to swear on my blog peeps) because now everyone things he's one big bag of crazy!

But when I saw the video on BBC news it seemed like the couple he was slurring at were laughing, no? 

Suuurrree he needs to learn to contain the crazy, and let it out ONLY, and i mean only, when no one is around! particularly if the people you are discriminating against aren't around dude!

At least no one got physically hurt in this. well apart from Doirs sales, anyone who buys something Doir now, people are gona stare. 

However, I hear that Mel Gibson is looking for a suit to wear to his court appearance about beating the shiz outa his wife, MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!

late night blogging...

So, I am about as bored as Bill Gates at a Beauty salon! I figured I would write a list of things that i think are super-duper!

• Flowers in bottles of Moet filled with water rather than champage (i have one on my desk right now and the flowers have lasted 2weeks and 3 days so far...weird, maybe the champers makes them last longer?)
• Fairy lights blue-tacked around an oversized mirror
• The massive blankets my nan knits for me (my housemates are tight and dont like the heating to be on)
• My sisters part shaved head, and her friends fully shaved head (that's you phoebe if you read this!)
• Daisy chains
• Taking cab rides through london bridge when it is late and all i see are the lights and outlines of buildings
• Smoking out of a window
• Long walks in london
• Silly named cocktails
• Cocktails

so this list may well have some more things being added to it in the near future but that is pretty much it so far...

Since I moved to London I've found that I have settled into live here, just the other day I realised that I have never done the tourist-y things. So I have decided that from now on every sunday I am going to go on a walk, just me and my camera, about London.

Yesterday I ventured down to St. Paul's.

London is full of inspiration, and I love this image of St. Paul's. I took it directly underneath the building so I could get a good view of all the architecture that has gone into the building.

Yellow is my favourite colour, and these tiny little flowers outside cheapside shopping centre 'one new change' *barf* were really cute!

yes this is a rather boring post to most of you i bet, however i have saved THE BEST for last.... oh no yours eyes do not deceive you... KNIGHTRIDER street. LOVELOVELOVE!

London Fashion Week

LFW has been and gone now, but would you have realised it? I have seen no footage on the news, in papers, even just in general. No one seems to be talking about it!

This is a massive controversy! London fashion week is something I look forward to hearing about every year, and now I am in london myself LFW decides that since reaching the big 3-0, although im sure she tells everyone she's still 25, that she will become the shy and retiring type. Of course there has been a lot of "breaking news" recently, the conflicts in Egypt and with, well everyone in general. But this week is a british, and quite frankly a world-wide, tradition. We don our most avant-garde outfits, the tallest heels, the most clean and sleek make-up and wonder the streets of London hoping to catch a location where a show is being held.

Well -if anyone actually reads the nonsense I write about- it might interest you to know that I managed to snag myself a ticket to see the House of Holland show. And I must say, as the first official London Fashion Week show I have ever attended, I was thoroughly impressed. And I shall put my hands up now and say that I don't know if the music or the much more commercial clothing that won me over.

The house opened with the sound of a vinyl about to play, but then a beat kicked in and WHAM out blare The Shirelles with Mama Said! All the music was very 'my gran gave me all her old vinyls, i dont want to be ungrateful, but ...' which was FAB! The music was provided by the MisShapes and I have been internet stalking as much as I possibly can but cannot find the mix tape they used! This set the tone for the rest of the show. It was fun, and had just the right amount of vintage mixed with some very modern silhouettes, a thick tweed body with sleeves, it looked like a modern swim-suit. This was probably the only piece that, realistically, is unwearable in public. And i realise that people wear bodies under jeans, but after really looking at the fabric I came to the conclusion that the tweed was too thick to wear under clothing, unless you are a size 6.

The highlight of the show for me would have to be the second from last dress. I cannot recall exactly what it looks like and google has failed me AGAIN, but it was beautiful. Fitted on top, nipped in at the waist and flaring out at the bottom, falling just above the knee, sequins in the style of a granma knitted throw!

Another highlight was the hair. So simply yet so trendy. A simply pony tail with a few 'i slept with it like this' kinks in it, very waspy and i think possibly a competitor for summer hit hair style this year.

The colours were also something that grabbed me, I'm a sucker for anything in burnt orange and this really hit the spot for me. Mixed with the peals, it's a definite win. Only down side, those ghastly oval loop pearl earrings.

BRAND NEW

Being a student and all the last month has been both a blur and totally brill!

So with my xmas cheque i managed to scoop a halston dress from selfridges for £50!! thats right kids for £50 you can dye your hair, book a travel lodge or buy a fucking halston dress! i could not believe my eyes! and then i see it on ASOS for £119! BARGIN! ps it was also the one featured in SATC2 but mine electric blue!

This got me thinking about desire brands, Halston has actually been mine since the ripe ol' age of 16 (when i saw goks fashion fix, oh yes i was one of THOSE kids) and I knew my first offical designer buy would have to be halston! although i did snag a mark jacobs cocktail dress from a charity shop for £35! looks like once a year the discount designer fairy pays me a visit! and therefore i would like to dedicate this post to her!
